BEACON OF HOPE

Our Mission

Our mission is to be a beacon of hope, reflecting the love of Jesus Christ by serving children, families, and communities through compassion, advocacy, education, and meaningful resources. We are committed to empowering parents, supporting children with autism, disabilities/special needs, and strengthening families facing mental, emotional, and economic challenges. By equipping people to live the healthy, purposeful, and productive lives God created them to live, we put love, faith and grace into action - restoring hope, building communities, and creating lasting impact across generations, throughout the nations, and around the world.

The Parents

Parents and caregivers of children with autism often experience significantly higher levels of stress, emotional exhaustion, and caregiver burden than parents of typically developing children. Studies consistently show that strong social support and community connections improve family well-being and resilience (Hayes & Watson, 2013).

The Connection

Many children with autism and other developmental disabilities experience higher rates of loneliness, social isolation, and difficulty forming meaningful friendships than their peers. Research also shows they are at a greater risk of bullying and social exclusion, underscoring the importance of safe, supportive, and inclusive environments (Maes et al., 2022).

The Need

1 in 31 Children Has Autism

Today, 1 in 31 children in the United States is identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and approximately 1 in 6 children has a developmental disability, demonstrating the growing need for advocacy, support, and inclusive communities (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2025).

The Village

Research consistently shows that when parents and caregivers have access to community support, educational resources, advocacy, peer networks, respite services, and coordinated care, they experience lower stress, improved mental health, and greater family resilience. These supports also help children with disabilities achieve better developmental, educational, and social outcomes while increasing their participation in school and community life (American Academy of Pediatrics, 2026; Institute on Community Integration, n.d.; Rivard et al., 2022; Kuhlthau et al., 2024).
